Damh the Bard

Songwriter, storyteller, poet & performer

Damh is a modern-day Bard whose spirituality, and love of folk tradition, is expressed through his music, storytelling and poetry.

Damh hails from Sussex in England and is one of Britain’s leading pagan artists and has performed extensively on the musical and festival circuit, both in the UK, USA and Australia.

Drawing on the Bardic traditions his performances are spell binding as he weaves a tapestry of myth, peace and anthems that speak directly to the heart.

His inspiration comes from the ancient legends of the British Isles and Ireland; from King Arthur to Taliesin; from the Welsh Mabinogion to old British folk customs.  Damh will take you on a journey through the old stories and myths of Fair Albion and leave you with a deeper understanding of the land’s ancient heritage.

Witchcraft Magazine

Spiral dance are a maelstrom of beautiful Pagan-Folk creativity

Cyrkel Spynn Magazine

Music with heart, soul and melody comes along too rarely and should therefore be embraced when it does present itself…and this is as good an example as you’re likely to find.

Michael Hunter DB Magazine

Lyrics of magic and mysticism that reach beyond the ordinary and

music of mystery and intrigue, a joyful celebration of life.

Neo Pagan Times

Very high energy music, and the whole band have obviously been very careful not to overpower the vocals which are lovely.! I’m not surprised they’ve won all those awards, it’s a fabulous sound. If I have to do a comparison and I don’t like to, they have a feel of the energy of Steeleye Span.
